The AC is the committee in charge of ensuring the continuity of CoLang from one institute to the next, by selecting hosts, securing funding, developing outreach, providing stewardship and support to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of each institute, etc.

As per the CoLang charter, the AC is a group of equals consisting of 12-15 members, including:

  • 2 co-convenors

  • 3 institute organizers (1 from a past institute and 2 from the upcoming institute)

  • 4 community language scholars

  • 2 student members

  • 2 international (non-US) members

  • 1 AC - Web Committee liaison

  • 1 CoLang - LSA liaison

Each member has a 4-year term, so that they can contribute to the organization of two institutes (CoLang happens every 2 years). This year, the following AC members are finishing their term:

Name  AC position
Carly Tex, Co-convenor
Martin Renard, Co-convenor
Naatosi Fish, Community language scholar

We would like to deeply thank all of our outgoing members for their precious contribution to the work of the AC and of CoLang. Thank you! Your presence on the AC will be missed.

Please reach out with any questions.

Thank you, and hopefully see you in Reno in 2026!

Best,
Naatosi and Tyler
