The Web Committee, working with the CoLang Advisory Council and the 2024 Local Organizing Committee, is continuing on the work of the 2022 Local Organizing Committee in creating an online repository of CoLang course materials. Our main goal is to support contributors and hosts in organizing effective institutes. In the future, we aim for this effort to additionally serve the public by releasing any appropriate workshop information with cleared facilitator consent for continued educational use. The Web Committee's goal for the CoLang repository is to create a structure that will expedite the process of storing materials created by facilitators. These materials include slideshows, example documents, and educational content of the workshop, but would exclude any content created during the workshop, as well as materials created during workshops by students or practica participants will be stored. To develop this process, we are inviting facilitators to opt-in to this project, and submit their course materials to be stored in the repository. We would like facilitators to begin to consider if they would be willing to donate to this effort. Please also know that this is an “opt-in” process, not an “opt-out,” and it is certainly acceptable if you would rather not donate to this work. More information and an “opt-in” consent questionnaire is forthcoming.

The Web Committee will host a Q&A on Tuesday, February 20 from 4-5pm MST to describe the possible levels of access connected to the “opt-in” consent questionnaire. The meeting will be held via Google Meet (below) and recorded for those who are unable to attend.
